Ground-beef patties produced in a Buffalo butcher shop are being recalled due to possible E. coli contamination.
Five-pound boxes of Lorigo brand patties made at Meating Place on Grant Street last Friday should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
About 325 pounds of patties are subject to the recall.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consuming this product, the agency said.
The product was shipped to retail and institutional locations in the Buffalo area.
The recalled product has a packaging code of 120106 and has the number “Est. 8631” inside the USDA inspection mark.
The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service discovered the problem during “routine in-plant review of testing results,” the agency said in a news release.
