Hudson Fasching is ready for more international experience.
USA Hockey added the Sabres forward to its world championship team Thursday. The 20-year-old joins Buffalo defenseman Jake McCabe on the national team that will play next month in Russia.
Fasching, who played seven games for the Sabres after leaving the University of Minnesota, has a long history with USA Hockey. He was part of the National Team Development Program for two years and played on the world junior and under-18 teams.
The U.S. world championship team is at 17 players, including Buffalo-born Miles Wood. The forward, who signed with New Jersey this month after his freshman year at Boston College, is the son of former Sabres forward Randy Wood.
