Family hires attorney to investigate son’s fatal fall at downtown restaurant

The family of the 24-year-old Lancaster man who fell to his death Friday from a balcony at the Pearl Street Grill and Brewery has hired an attorney to conduct an investigation into what occurred that evening.

Attorney Michael A. Iacono said his firm will conduct its own “investigation which will parallel the Buffalo Police Department’s investigation to try and determine the cause of the fall from the balcony at the Pearl Street Grill.”

Thomas Krickovich, a graduate student in the physician assistant program at Daemen College, was at a student-organized party at the bar when he fell from a third-floor balcony, just after 10 p.m., suffering fatal injuries.

In a prepared statement, Iacono said the Krickovich family expresses its “deepest gratitude” for the outpouring of prayers and expressions of sympathy regarding the recent loss of their son.
