At least one vehicle struck a deer on the Kensington Expressway on Thursday morning.
There were reports of crashes in each direction of the expressway in the area of Grider and Suffolk streets.
The first report of a car that struck a deer came in to emergency responders at about 7:15 a.m. That report said a vehicle struck the deer on the Grider Street off-ramp from the eastbound Kensington. No injuries were reported.
Several minutes later, there were reports of another crash involving a deer in the westbound direction near Suffolk Street. Initial reports indicated at least one vehicle occupant was injured.
Traffic lanes were closed for awhile in each direction, according to the Niagara International Transportation Technology Coalition.
