Retailers sought for Niagara Falls Amtrak station

NIAGARA FALLS – With the new Niagara Falls Amtrak station set to open this summer, the City of Niagara Falls is seeking retailers to fill one or multiple tenant spaces in the 4,650 square feet of the station at 825 Depot Ave. West.

The first floor of the new building will include a public lobby/atrium, and the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Interpretive Center. The second floor will house Amtrak’s passenger services, along with U.S. Customs and Border Protection inspection facilities. Six trains a day, which includes Amtrak’s Empire service between New York City and Niagara Falls and Amtrak’s Maple Leaf service between New York City, Niagara Falls and Toronto will stop at the station.

Proposals are being sought that would complement the building and the gorge waterfront location. The first objective will be to establish a food service and retail destination for travelers, tourists and the local market, while a secondary objective is for this space to promote local food and beverage producers.

The leasable space includes access to interior and exterior public areas and a full range of utilities. Economic development incentives may be available.

Those interested should contact Anthony Vilardo, the city’s director of business development, at 286-4480 or anthony.vilardo@niagarafallny.gov
