Men targeted in Cheektowaga shooting refuse to assist police

Cheektowaga police say a shooting that targeted two men who escaped injury Friday night on Concord Drive has little chance of being solved because the men are refusing to assist investigators.

“The two individuals are very uncooperative,” Assistant Police Chief James J. Speyer Jr. said Wednesday.

After a shooter opened fire at about 11:35 p.m. on the men, who were in a car, they drove a short distance to Harlem Road by Cleveland Drive and fled from the vehicle, taking cover in a pizzeria, Speyer said.

At that point, someone called 911 and police responded.
