Elma man charged with child porn possession

An Elma man who is a maintenance technician with the Iroquois Central School District is accused of possessing and receiving child pornography, U.S. Attorney William J. Hochul, Jr. announced Wednesday.

Kevin D. Waczkowski, 31, was charged by criminal complaint and could face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of $250,000, according to a news release.

A search warrant was executed Friday at Waczkowski’s residence where officers seized a desktop computer and a laptop computer, according to the complaint. An initial forensic analysis recovered images of child pornography, Hochul said.

The complaint is the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Child Exploitation Task Force, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Adam S. Cohen.

The task force includes the Buffalo Police Department, Cheektowaga Police Department and Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.
