CONNELL, Maurice "Jack"

Connell - Maurice W. "Jack" Passed away April 16, 2016. He was born in New Haven, CT in 1921 to Maurice Connell and Viola Winslow. Jack was a fighter pilot in World War II and an engineering graduate from Cornell University. He was an inventor and an entrepreneur forming Conax Corporation in Cheektowaga, NY. Jack held many patents.
Jack was a skilled tennis player and played into his 90's. Golf was also his passion and played three days in a row just last month. He was comfortable on the water as well as land. Many a day was spent on the Tally Ho cruising the waters of Southwest Florida. Jack was a founding member of the World Presidents' Organization.
He is survived by his wife, Leslie; his son, James; daughters Maureen DeCosta and Patricia Winslow; his step sons, Damien Cooper-Smith and Giles Cooper-Smith; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and his brother, Jim Connell.

A Celebration of Jack's life will be held on Friday, April 22 at 11:30 a.m. at Royal Poinciana Golf Club, 1600 Solana Rd, Naples, FL.
