Kids Escaping Drugs raised more than $63,000 from a live televent on WGRZ-Channel 2 last Wednesday, with nearly $40,000 coming from Valu Home Centers.
The funds will be used to support the treatment and prevention of substance abuse in children and teens.
“We always want to thank our sponsors and the Western New York community. Without them, we would not be able to do what we do,” said Robin Clouden, executive director of Kids Escaping Drugs, based in West Seneca. “We have such a crucial need for these dollars right now to educate our community with what’s going on about this horrific epidemic.”
