Live music might help market draw shoppers
A recent headline in The News said, “Broadway Market needs fresh, new ideas.” When visiting flea markets in Florida, I noticed that the busiest ones had entertainment, like a small band with a singer. The picnic tables were full and lots of people were standing.
I believe that we have lots of local talented people who would welcome the chance to play to an audience. If you tell the people that at noon on Saturday there will be entertainment, I believe that there will be a nice crowd.
I’m a big fan of the Carpenters and I enjoy Western music, so look for me. I’ll be that 88-year-old man keeping time with the music with his cane.
