Driver charged after hitting house, fleeing scene

A 25-year-old Findley Lake man was arrested early Sunday after his vehicle hit a house in the Town of Harmony and he fled the scene, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Alan K. Miller was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated for having a blood alcohol content of .18 percent or higher, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to keep right, moving from a lane unsafely and unlawful possession of marijuana.

The incident occurred at around 2 a.m. on Washington Street. He is scheduled to appear in Town of Harmony Court at a later date.
