716ers end season with loss in Rochester

The Buffalo 716ers still can’t get past the Rochester Razorsharks in Premier Basketball League play, and this time it knocked them out of the postseason.

The 716ers dropped a 125-88 decision to the Razorsharks in the semifinals of the playoffs. The game was played at Rochester’s Blue Cross Arena. The loss lowered Buffalo’s all-time record against Rochester to 1-25.

The Razorsharps jumped to a 61-41 lead at the half, and coasted home. Rochester’s Corey Allmond had 20 points, while James Helton added 18.

The Razorsharks (19-2) moved on to the championship game of the PBL. They will play the Lake Michigan Admirals in a best-of-three series. Rochester will try to win a third straight title.
