Man faces felony assault charges for an attack on two women

A Buffalo man is accused of attacking two woman, punching one of them and then dragging the other out of the house just before 9:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of Goethe Street.

Jmar Buchanan, 22, of Goemble Avenue, was charged with felony second-degree assault.

The 21-year-old victim said Buchanan kicked in two doors to gain entry, punched her in the face and then grabbed the other victim, a 20-year-old Cheektowaga woman, dragged her out of the house, threw her in the car and drove away.

The Cheektowaga woman said she jumped out of a moving vehicle to escape and Buchanan allegedy hit her with his car 15 times and choked her until she almost passed out. Officers reported she was found with scraping injuries and dark bruises on her neck.

The victim was treated in St. Joseph’s Hospital Emergency Room where she gave a statement to police officers.
