Lewiston Village Board to hold hearing on next year’s budget
LEWISTON – The Lewiston Village Board will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Monday on its tentative $3.3 million budget for 2016-17.
The $3.3 million proposed budget holds the tax rate steady at $7.38 per $1,000 of assessed valuation. In addition, water rates remain the same at $3.54 per 100 cubic feet and sewer rates remain steady at $4.64 per 100 cubic feet.
The budget is down $36,000 from the current year, attributed to savings realized with two retirements in the past year.
The board will meet at 6 p.m. April 25 to approve the budget.
