Man shot on Wick Street upgraded to fair condition

A man shot Tuesday on Wick Street has been upgraded to fair condition, Buffalo police said Wednesday.

The 20-year-old man, whose name has not been released, had been in critical condition in Erie County Medical Center after he was shot while driving a minivan that rolled over at the corner of Wick and Brier streets.

Witnesses reported hearing 10 to 15 shots in the area around 2:30 p.m.

A “young child” who also was in the minivan was transported to Women & Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
