Habitat for Humanity to celebrate 278th home in Buffalo

Habitat for Humanity Buffalo will celebrate the completion of its second home this year and its 278th home overall with a dedication ceremony at noon April 23 at 19 Ferguson Ave. in Buffalo’s Grant-Ferry neighborhood. Jerry Sheldon, the group’s president and executive director, will lead the ceremony.

The new homeowners are the Edwin Koffa family, who emigrated here from Liberia 12 years ago. Family members have contributed 500 hours of work on the home.

Habitat Buffalo completed 14 homes in 2015 and plans to finish 16 this year. For more information, visit habitatbuffalo.org.
