Gandhi’s grandson to speak at Sister Karen fundraiser

Arun Gandhi, grandson of India’s Mohandas K. “Mahatma” Gandhi, will speak on the topic of “Legacies of Nonviolence: From Gandhi to Sister Karen” at the annual fundraiser for the SSJ Sister Karen Klimczak Center for Nonviolence at 3 p.m. April 24 at Immaculata Academy, 5238 South Park Ave., Hamburg.

Gandhi, founder of the M. K. Gandhi Institute for Nonviolence, will share lessons about compassion and love that he learned from his grandfather. The program also will include a special commemoration of Sister Karen’s life and ministry on the 10th anniversary of her death.
