Car left running and unattended leads to drug discovery

Buffalo police looking for the owner of a vehicle left unattended and still running with the key in the ignition, uncovered over one ounce of marijuana in the map pocket of the door.

The unlocked car was found running at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Hampshire Street and Plymouth Avenue. When the driver, Maxamillian M. Hernandez, no age given, of Royal Avenue, returned to the car he was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and leaving a vehicle unattended with the motor running.
