UB edges Canisius in baseball

The University at Buffalo took the lead with four runs in the third inning, then held off Canisius for a 5-4 Big 4 baseball victory Tuesday at the Demske Sports Complex. Brandon Mumaw pitched six innngs to collect the win for the Bulls (11-17). Canisius is 15-17.

Bobby Sheppard, Andrew Taft and Kyle Brennan each had singles in UB’s big inning, which was helped by some shoddy Canisius fielding. Liam Wilson of the Griffs had two singles, the only player in the game with multiple hits.
