Pursuit across the Skyway ends in arrest in Buffalo

A Buffalo man led Lackawanna police on a vehicle pursuit across the Skyway into Buffalo. He was arrested by Buffalo police after the vehicle pursuit turned into a foot pursuit that ended at his Bailey Avenue home in Buffalo.

Isac Hunter, 55, was charged in the 1900 block of Bailey Avenue at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police said when Hunter was approached on foot he swung a strap with a metal clasp, striking an officer in the head. He was eventually subdued by several officers. The injured officer was treated at a hospital and then discharged.

Hunter was charged with assaulting an officer, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, criminal possession of a weapon and multiple counts of reckless driving, speeding, and not heeding a red light or proper passing zone.
