Salvatore J. Coniglio Sr., Army veteran, retired quality control manager

May 28, 1929 – April 6, 2016

A Mass of Christian Burial for Salvatore J. Coniglio Sr., an Army veteran who retired as quality control manager for Emerson Industrial Controls in 1994, will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 620 Center St., Lewiston.

Mr. Coniglio, who resided in Lewiston, was 86. He died Wednesday in Mount St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston.

He served in the U.S. Army for two years during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in March 1953. He later worked for 16 years, from 1978 to April 1994, for Emerson Industrial Controls on Grand Island.

Mr. Coniglio was born in Mount Morris. . In April 1956 he married the former Anne Sanfilippo, who survives him. He also is survived by a son, Salvatore Coniglio Jr. of Los Angeles, a daughter, Nancy Jo Talarico of Lewiston, a brother, Thomas Coniglio, and four sisters: Josephine Palermo, Mary LaTona, Nancy Maccagnano and Lucille Liberatore.
