High School Extra (April 10): Bowman Cup Sunday

Bowman Cup rosters set

The 12th Bowman Cup Hockey Showcase features three games Sunday at First Niagara Center. The first game starts at 11 a.m. and pits the top high-school-aged juniors from Buffalo against Rochester counterparts. The seniors contest follows at 1 p.m. The event closes at 3 p.m., when the prep-school/junior-level players from both cities wage battle. Tickets cost $5.

Silver Hoops Classic shines

In the ADPRO Sports and Dale Carnegie Silver Hoops Classic, ECIC I, Monsignor Martin and Buffalo Public Small Schools all-stars all experienced victory.

Canisius’ Madut Ayiy had 14 points to lead MMA over Buffalo Public Large Schools, 87-79. Amherst’s TC Brown had 22 points for ECIC I in a 128-101 win over Niagara Frontier League. I-Prep’s Davon Gant had 20 in Buffalo Small Schools’ 67-57 win over ECIC II.
