East Aurora Garden Club will meet at noon Monday in St. Matthias Episcopal Church, Main and Maple streets, East Aurora. Parking in rear. Kristy Schmitt, director of education at the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens, will present “Moss Terrariums.” Members will make terrariums using native Western New York moss species. Amana Garden Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Burchfield Nature & Art Center, 2001 Union Road, West Seneca. A business meeting will be followed by a program on planting containers with some of this year’s new annuals. Members will also construct a pot de fleur for the District luncheon the following day. Design classes will be held April 6, 20 and 27 at the center.

Judges Council of 8th District of Federated Garden Clubs of New York State will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday in Brighton Community Church, 1225 Brighton Road, Town of Tonawanda. Carolyn Schaffner, a master judge of the American Hosta Society and the American Iris Society, will present “Troughs: Choosing Plants and Judging the Final Product.” Horticulture exhibited will include blooms from spring bulbs and perennials. The design exhibit, “Optical Illusions,” a creative transparency design, will be discussed.
