Sabres send Bailey back to Rochester

Justin Bailey is headed back to Rochester.

The Sabres rookie, called up on an emergency basis Tuesday because of three illnesses and injuries to the forwards, is returning to the Amerks after watching the 3-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils. Buffalo didn't need to use Bailey after Ryan O'Reilly, Jack Eichel and Brian Gionta were able to play.

Here is the Sabres Notebook detailing Bailey's play.

The Sabres are not practicing Wednesday and will return to the ice Thursday. They host Columbus on Friday in First Niagara Center in the home finale, then visit the New York Islanders on Saturday to close the season.
