LOCKPORT – A former drunken driver dubbed “a model attendee” for counseling programs by State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. was placed on five years’ probation Wednesday.
Sean C. Milczarski, 34, of Caledonia Street, Newfane, who had pleaded guilty to a felony count of driving while intoxicated, also must pay $1,605 in fines and fees, serve 30 days in the Niagara County work program and wear an alcohol monitoring ankle bracelet for up to a year.
He was arrested June 29, 2014, after wiping out his motorcycle on Ide Road in Newfane and trying to walk away from the scene. Witnesses grabbed him until sheriff’s deputies arrived. A blood test showed a 0.17 percent blood alcohol reading. He has a previous DWI conviction from 2009 in Wilson.
