UB hoops aide Bryan Hodgson receives '30-under-30' coaches honor

University at Buffalo assistant men's basketball coach Bryan Hodgson was named to the 2016 Under Armour 30-under-30 team, the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced Sunday night.

The team honors 30 Division I assistant coaches across the country under age 30 for their contributions to their teams this season. The honors were handed out at the annual NABC convention in Houston.

Hodgson, a graduate of  Jamestown High School, came to UB after serving two years at Midland College in Texas. He helped recruit junior-college transfers Blake Hamilton, Willie Conner and David Kadiri to UB this season. All three were instrumental in UB's run to the Mid-American Conference title and an NCAA Tournament berth.
