Former boyfriend admits pointing a gun at another man

An angry former boyfriend pleaded guilty Monday in State Supreme Court to a weapons charge for brandishing a gun at a man who was dating his ex-girlfriend.

Kyle “500” Alexander, 28, of Hewitt Street pleaded guilty before Justice Christopher J. Burns to one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

On June 20, Alexander, who has prior felony convictions for attempted burglary and attempted criminal possession of a weapon, pointed the gun at a man at the home of his ex-girlfriend on Kensington Avenue and made threats, according to prosecutors.

He now faces a possible sentence of seven to 15 years in prison when he returns to court May 2.
