Winter storm warning goes into effect at 5 p.m. Sunday

A winter storm warning has been issued for much of Western New York, starting at 5 p.m. today and running through 2 p.m. Monday.

The National Weather Service is predicting snowfall of 4 to 7 inches tonight and 1 to 3 inches Monday. The warning covers Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Niagara and Orleans counties.

"Accumulating snow will result in hazardous travel conditions at times, with poor visibilities and slippery, snow-covered roadways," the service said.
