Business People: Hires, promotions and honors for week of April 3

Montante Group named Michele Messina director of property management. Messina began her career at McGuire Development where she earned property manager of the year honors from the Greater Buffalo Building Owners and Managers Association in 2013. She is a Bryant and Stratton College graduate.

Harris Beach appointed Anthony J. Adiutori a partner. Adiutori received his JD in from Brooklyn Law School and his bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College.

M&T Bank promoted Bethany D. Fancher-Herbert to group vice president of credit risk management and administration. Fancher-Herbert, with the bank for 15 years, received a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Fredonia.

M&T Bank promoted Gary J. Fusco to group vice president where he serves as manager of technology platform management and services support. Fusco, with the bank for 25 years, received a bachelor’s degree from Canisius College.

Blue Bridge Financial named Greg Brown controller, and Scott Rosenheck senior accountant. Brown, a CPA, has a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from the University at Buffalo. Rosenheck holds both a bachelor’s degree s and an MBA in from Niagara University.

Watts Architecture & Engineering named Richard Pettis department manager in the firm’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering department. Pettis is a graduate of Ohio University.

Independent Health promoted Robin McGarrah to director, utilization management. McGarrah is a Daemen College graduate.

Rich Products promoted Ann Boyd to director, component desserts marketing, in-store bakery division. Boyd earned a bachelor’s degree from Mercyhurst University and master’s degree from the University at Buffalo.

Bank of Holland appointed Deborah Stemper assistant vice president. Stemper, with the bank for 29 years, is the bank secrecy act and operations officer.

Sentient Science appointed Matt Hostetler to its sales team. Hostetler is a California State University–Channel Islands graduate.

People United for Sustainable Housing (PUSH Buffalo) promoted Rahwa Ghirmatzion to deputy director. She graduated from the University at Buffalo.

Essex Homes of WNY promoted Vincent P. Nanula to manager of operations, and Timothy J. Berger to vice president of production. Nanula has a bachelor’s degree from Canisius College. Berger has been with the company since 1993.

Colonial Life Insurance Company named Christopher C. Martoche a sales account executive. Martoche holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Canisius College.

Mount Calvary Cemetery named Gabrielle Lanich and Emily Watts family service coordinators. Lanich is a graduate of Dallas Institute of Funeral Service and SUNY Canton. Watts is a University at Buffalo graduate with her master’s degree from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Nussbaumer & Clarke promoted Michael A. Chirico to corporate associate, electrical power systems. He graduated from SUNY Buffalo State.
