The Buffalo Bills made sure they secured some depth -- and perhaps a starter at offensive tackle -- by signing restricted free agent Jordan Mills to a qualifying offer Wednesday.
The Bills tendered Mills, who is expected to compete with Seantrel Henderson for the starting job at right tackle, on March 7.
After joining the Bills halfway through the 2015 season from the Detroit Lions' practice squad, Mills appeared in 10 games and started five.
He entered the NFL in 20134 as a fifth-round draft pick (163rd overall) of the Chicago Bears. The 6-foot-5, 316-pound Mills started in 29 games with the Bears in 2013 and 2014.
