Timothy J. Lucas of Getzville, a General Motors test technician, died Friday in Hospice Buffalo, Cheektowaga, after a brief illness. He was 59.
Born in Buffalo, he graduated from Kaiserlauten American High School in Germany and majored in theater studies at Niagara University.
Mr. Lucas worked for 30 years at Harrison Radiator and Delphi Thermal Systems, where he was a prototype test technician. He retired in 2007.
A Master Mason, he was a member of Akron Lodge 527, Free & Accepted Masons. A longtime supporter of the SPCA Serving Erie County, he fostered many at-risk mother cats and kittens.
An auto enthusiast, he owned a 1941 Ford business coupe and a 1957 Trotwood camper trailer.
He also was noted for his Fourth of July clam steam.
Survivors include a son, Felipe Flores; two sisters, Sandra Kubik and Judith; and a granddaughter.
A celebration of his life will be held this summer.
