Batavia schools plan Mexican family night

BATAVIA – The Batavia School District will hold a “noche de la familia,” a Mexican-themed Family Night from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Middle School on Ross Street.

Students and their families are invited to participate in a variety of activities and possibly win some prizes at the event that focuses on opportunities for parents to learn how to support their children’s learning.

Free activities in the auditorium and gymnasium include a Rancho Viejo taco dinner, demonstrations by Nickel City Reptiles and Exotics, book giveaways, sweepstakes featuring local businesses, yoga lessons, a piñata guessing game and sombrero making,

The Richmond Memorial Library and the Civil Air Patrol will provide information about their programs geared toward students.
