Letter: Sculpture of canoes belongs at Canalside

Sculpture of canoes belongs at Canalside

As an old, retired guy with a great interest in Western New York history, I am wondering why the greatest exhibit to the area’s water-oriented history is sitting landlocked on Elmwood Avenue where only locals know where it is.

The sculpture of canoes on the grounds of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery would be a perfect complement to Canalside, being both appealing and historical. I think that with international interest, they would be more popular than Shark Girl, which we love.
