Town of Niagara woman charged with hurting 4-year-old girl

LOCKPORT – A 36-year-old Town of Niagara woman was arrested Thursday by Niagara County sheriff’s deputies for allegedly injuring a 4-year-old girl who was in her care.

Jamie L. Holka was charged about 12:30 p.m. with endangering the welfare of a child after an investigation of a child abuse complaint lodged against her recently. The child was removed from Holka’s care and Holka was ordered to appear in Niagara Town Court, according to Sheriff James R. Voutour.

Note: This corrects the original story which wrongly identified Holka as a male.
