Niagara stretched its winning streak to three games with a 14-6 win over St. Bonaventure Thursday afternoon at the Marra Complex.
Freshman Hailey D’Hont led the Purple Eagles (4-4) with four points including notching her first collegiate hat trick as Niagara had four other players score two goals. Defensively, the Purple Eagles held down a Bona team which was averaging 13 goals a game.
“Today was a team effort, and we were able to put together a highly disciplined effort on both ends of the field,” Niagara coach Wendy Stone said. “We were able to create many opportunities on the offensive side of the field, and we stepped up our game defensively.”
Junior Taylor Fallon netted a career-high five goals for the Bonnies, who fell to 2-4.
