Why do Democrats have superdelegates?
Whenever I hear the words democratic and democracy, I think equality, fairness, one person, one vote. I find it ironic that the Democratic Party has something called superdelegates. Who are these people? How are they chosen? Is it a birthright, or are they anointed by some party deity?
It makes me think of George Orwell’s “Animal Farm,” where all animals are created equal, but some animals are more equal than others.
