Bonnie 'Prince' Billy and Bitchin Bajas team up for Babeville performance

Following the recent release of the collaborative album "Epic Jammers and Fortunate Little Ditties," Drag City label mates Bonnie "Prince" Billy (nee Will Oldham) and Bitchin Bajas are teaming up for a performance on June 20 at Asbury Hall at Babeville (341 Delaware Ave.).

The well received neo-psych record merges the melancholy vocals of the lo-fi folk pioneer Oldham with the experimental stylings of the Chicago rooted Bajas. In addition to playing tracks from the album, the prolific Oldham, who has released a long list of albums under a variety of monikers and alter egos since the mid-1990s, and the meditative Windy City unit will also perform selections from their own solo work throughout the show.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. March 25 for $25 (box office, Ticketweb). Avant-garde guitar player Bill Mackay will provide support.
