BELMONT – Two men and a woman who were in a mobile home stopped on County Route 17 in the Town of Friendship are being held in the Allegany County Jail here on drug charges, Sheriff Ricky L. Whitney reported Tuesday. Stopped during a routine traffic stop on Friday were:
-Matthew D. Brewer, 39, of Wolf Creek Road, Cuba
-Sherrie L. Moore, 36, of Castle Garden Road, Friendship
-Tony E. Engert, 29, of Norton Street, Rochester.
All three are being held on two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and multiple counts of criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument.
Moore, the driver, was also charged with not having a license plate lamp on the mobile home.
The sheriff said quantities of cocaine and heroin were found in the vehicle along with 25 hypodermic instruments and drug paraphernalia. All three were held on $75,000 cash bail after their arraignments in Friendship Town Court.
