Easter fun for the entire family

Here are some ideas for places to celebrate Easter with your kids and catch up with the Easter Bunny, too.

Spring Eggstravaganza at Tifft Nature Preserve

This is a hugely popular annual event at Tifft Nature Preserve. There is Easter-themed fun including coloring hard-boiled eggs using dyes made from berries, spices and veggies (you have to bring your own hard-boiled eggs).  There will be live birds, bugs, frogs and more. Kids can make fun crafts and even see a live hatching chicks exhibit.  Pre-registration is required and the event does sell out. Call 825-6397 for more info and to register.

Where: Tifft Nature Preserve, 1200 Furhmann Blvd. (tifft.org)

When:  10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 25

Cost: $7 per person.

Why you should check this out: It is an up-close look at nature. Provided the weather is nice, there will be a walk along the beautiful trails of the preserve. It is great for kids of all ages. There will also be popcorn, snacks and food trucks.
