Bird flying into substation stops electricity to 3,000 patrons in Niagara Falls

NIAGARA FALLS – A bird that flew into the National Grid substation on Buffalo Avenue knocked out electricity to about 3,000 customers from about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to about 6 p.m. National Grid said all electricity was restored after the dead bird was removed from the substation equipment.
