NIAGARA FALLS — The Niagara Falls Police and Fire departments will be on opposing teams, but they will be fighting for the same cause at the annual Charity Hockey Tournament at 7 p.m. Saturday in the main rink of the Hyde Park Ice Pavilion. Tickets are $5 at the door.
This year’s game will be played to benefit eight-month-old Kaitlyn Schumacher, who was born with Spina Bifida. Proceeds will help the family with their medical bills, including an operation she underwent while in the womb, as well as daily physical therapy and other special needs for this incurable disease.
In addition to the game there will also be a basket auction and a 50/50 raffle. An after party will follow the game at the ice rink bar/restaurant. The public is welcome to attend the game and is invited to stay for the party.
