The Buffalo Bisons will offer “Peanut Reduced Seating” for the second season in a row, giving fans with allergies a worry-free ballpark experience.
In partnership with Skeeter Nut Free, the Bisons will designate certain sections of the ballpark’s club level as peanut reduced for five home games – one per month – at Coca-Cola Field.
“Our family is so excited the Buffalo Bisons have once again decided to offer peanut reduced seating this season,” said Kelly Naab, of Clarence, who requested the special designation last year for her son, Cooper, now 8½, who has a serious peanut allergy.
“With even more games to choose from, we look forward to baseball season and some fun at the ballpark.”
Mom told The Buffalo News that Cooper continues to be a busy baseball player, who has been thrilled to see his local team play without fear of coming in contact with a peanut product a few games a year at the ballpark.
Mother and son are pictured on the Bisons website at milb.com/1pmtqt0, where tickets for the Peanut Reduced Seating games can be ordered starting Saturday.
The five games are an increase from three last season and will include the following:
• April 15 vs. Rochester (6:05 p.m.)
•May 7 vs. Syracuse (1:05 p.m.)
• June 14 vs. Durham (7:05 p.m.)
• July 20 vs. Norfolk (1:05 p.m.)
• Aug. 14 vs. Pawtucket (1:05 p.m.).
A Skeeter Nut Free Ticket Pack is currently available for all five games. For $18, the Skeeter Nut Free Ticket Pack includes a game ticket, a Sahlen’s hot dog on a peanut-free roll, a Coca-Cola soft drink and Skeeter Nut Free Cookies. This pack can only be ordered in advance. Single-game tickets for any of the five Peanut Reduced Seating games also are available.
