Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who menaced a 14-year-old girl Thursday morning as she walked on the city’s East Side.
Buffalo Police posted on its Facebook page that the girl was walking from her home near Bailey Avenue and Dingens Street, near a bowling alley, at 6:40 a.m. when she noticed a man walking north on Bailey from Clinton Street.
The man was described as black, about 34, 5-foot-8, about 230 pounds and wearing dirty blue jeans and a black hoodie.
As he passed her, police said, he stopped and said, “Do you want to do something?”
The girl told police the man then pushed her against a fence, leaving her with a bruise on her cheek.
A motorist driving by honked his horn and yelled out of the window. The man then continued walking north on Bailey.
