This is an annual event that celebrates all of the messy stuff in life. Well, some of it, anyway. The fun takes place all throughout the museum, with plenty of hands-on activities for all ages.
There will be a "Pi in the face" activity, power paint hats, worm beds, glow in the dark art, and much more. One of the most fun events is sure to be the Messfest Mural. There are paint-soaked foam blocks to launch at the mural - just perfect for those little scientists out there who love science and messes.
So go ahead, help your kids make a huge mess. The best part is ... you won't have to clean anything up, the folks at the museum will do that for you.
Visit sciencebuff.org for more information on Messfest. Museum admission is adults, $11; children 2-17, $8; under 2, free. It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
