UB women set for NCAA practice day

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- It's practices and press conferences for the University at Buffalo women's basketball team Thursday.

The Bulls practice at 4:30 this afternoon at St. John Arena on the campus of Ohio State to prepare for tomorrow's first-round NCAA game against the Buckeyes.

The team arrived in Ohio Wednesday evening and have their work cut out for them in their first-ever postseason appearance. The Bulls have made their way through defense and rebounding, UB has allowed only 54 points per game over the last 14 games. But they face an Ohio State team which ranks third nationally in scoring (86.7 points per game), has scored more than 90 points 14 times this year and has a sophomore guard in Kelsey Mitchell who ranks fourth in the nation in scoring at 25.7 ppg.

Check out Mark Gaughan's complete scout for the matchup in the NCAA preview section. Then check back later in the day for more updates from Ohio.
