There are some great opportunities for Easter fun all week long. Here are just a few that are good for kids of all ages, so hop on over for some good times.
Mr. J presents Easter Wow!
Where: Concord Library, 18 Chapel St., Springville
When: 5 p.m. March 18
What: This is a family-friendly event that includes an Easter-themed magic show, an egg hunt, crafts, and even live chicks and ducklings. The Easter Bunny is also set to stop by for a visit. Registration is required by calling 592-7742
Why you should check it out: Dave and Kathleen’s shows are interactive and an awful lot of fun for the kiddos. They perform all around the area and if you've never been to one of their shows they are very exciting to watch. Add to that – it is free.
Breakfast with the Easter Bunny
Where: The Buffalo Zoo, 300 Parkside Ave.
When: 9 to 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. March 19, 20 and 26.
What: There is a brunch, face painting and a visit from the Easter Bunny. This is always a huge hit and normally sells out – so call ahead to get your tickets. 995-6133
Cost: $17 for adults, $14 for children. Under 2 are free.
Why you should check it out: There are many bunny events, but this is just about the only one that has zoo animals taking part in the festivities. The kids get a kick out of the animals – and a walk around the zoo is a bonus after brunch.
Clearfield Community Center Egg Hunt
Where: Clearfield Community Center (730 Hopkins Road, Williamsville)
When: Hunts take place at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. March 19. The only thing you’ll need is a bag or basket to carry the eggs you find.
Why you should check it out: It is not for residents only and there is no pre-registration required, so last-minute planners have nothing to worry about. Also, they break the groups down by age – which makes it fun for all of the kids as they search for the eggs.
Hilbert College Children’s Easter Party
Where: Hilbert College – Hafner Recreation Center. 5200 South Park Ave., Hamburg
When: 2 to 4 p.m. March 20
What: Bring your kids for tons of Easter activities held by the clubs at Hilbert College. The Easter Bunny will be there to hang out and get pictures with the children.
