Western New York has three basketball teams playing in their respective NCAA Tournaments this week. Here’s what you need to know:
Matchup: 14th-seeded University at Buffalo Bulls (20-14) vs. third-seeded University of Miami (Fla.) Hurricanes (25-7).
When: 6:50 p.m. Thursday.
Where: Dunkin Donuts Center, Providence, R.I.
TV: TNT. The commentators are Ian Eagle, Chris Webber and Len Elmore; the sideline reporter is Evan Washburn.
Radio: 550 and 1520 AM.
Tickets: The NCAA ticket info page (ncaa.com/tickets/basketball-men/d1) does not list tickets for sale, but it does have availability through its ticket exchange. Tickets are also listed as being available on stubhub.com.
Bracketology: The Miami-UB winner will face the winner of the game that follows it Thursday night during Session II in Providence. That matchup will have sixth-seeded Arizona facing either Vanderbilt or Wichita State, which will be determined in Tuesday’s First Four game. The second-round game in Providence will be held Saturday at a time to be announced; tip times for the second-round games on Saturday will be announced on Thursday after the conclusion of the day’s games.
Also playing in Providence: In Thursday’s afternoon session (Session I), it’s 4-Duke vs. 13-North Carolina-Wilmington at 12:15 p.m., followed by 12-Yale vs. 5-Baylor; those winners will meet on Saturday.

History: This is UB’s second NCAA appearance and second in a row; it has won the Mid-American Conference title – and its corresponding automatic bid to the NCAAs – the last two years. Last year it lost in the first round to West Virginia at Columbus, Ohio.

History: This is the UB women’s first NCAA appearance – they earned it by winning their first MAC championship on Saturday.
St. Bona women
Matchup: 10th-seeded St. Bonaventure University Bonnies (23-7) vs. seventh-seeded Oklahoma State University Cowgirls (21-9).
When: 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Where: Gill Coliseum, on the campus of Oregon State in Corvallis, Ore., (the first round of the women’s tournament is hosted by the top 16 seeds at their campus sites).

Bracketology: Host 2-Oregon State plays 15-Troy in the other half of the bracket at 5 p.m.; the winners of the two games meet Sunday at Gill Coliseum.
History: This is Bona’s second NCAA appearance. It made the Sweet 16 in 2012, after making the tournament as an at-large selection and a No. 5 seed.
