Deaths Death Notices
HUTCHINSON, Thomas N.
Hutchinson - Thomas N. Of Naples, FL, formerly of Buffalo, NY passed away peacefully on March 6 after a long and spirited fight against cancer. He is predeceased by his loving wife Joan, who we trust greeted him with a big kiss and a very dry martini.
Tom credited the Christian Brothers with changing his life by giving him a work/study scholarship to St Joseph's Collegiate Institute and was forever grateful for both the opportunity and life-long friendships which began there. After some time at Canisius College he went to work for WUSJ in Lockport, NY as a DJ. Although the advent of rock and roll -which he refused to play- abruptly ended his promising career, he quickly discovered his love and aptitude for sales with NY Telephone and went on to have a long and successful career in the telecommunication industry.
He is survived by his loving son Scott and his devoted daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Ed Lonergan. He was a beloved Bompa to Taryn (John) Hermansen and Cara Lonergan and a Great Bompa to Maxwell John and Theodore Thomas Hermansen. Predeceased by Brothers Robert and S Donald, he is survived by his brother Ted (Vicki) and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
