A Hamburg woman faces driving while intoxicated charges after she was pulled over early Tuesday morning in Orchard Park.
Melissa Huttenlocker, 39, was stopped after she ran a red light at Southwestern Boulevard and Orchard Park Road just before 1:30 a.m., Orchard Park police said.
Huttenlocker failed field sobriety tests at the scene and was arrested. At the station, she was uncooperative, refusing to sign paperwork or follow the officer’s directions, police said. She also refused a breath test, police said.
She was charged with DWI, passing a red light and making an improper turn. She was released on $100 bail and is scheduled to return to court next month.
This is Huttenlocker’s second alcohol-related arrest, police said.
Update: Huttenlocker was found not guilty of the three charges. Her attorney, Daniel J. Chiacchia, said, "She was acquitted due to the fact that she was having a medical situation, and it was not related to alcohol consumption."
