Buffalo schools issue alert about man who drove up to girl at bus stop

An “older” man who drove up to a 12-year-old girl at a school bus stop on Clark Street Monday morning is being sought by Buffalo police, according to an alert from the Buffalo school district issued Monday evening.

Elena Cala, spokesperson for the city school system, urged parents to talk to their children about how to avoid strangers who approach them in cars and to encourage children to report suspicious incidents to school officials and their parents.

The Monday incident involved a man driving a black 4-door car with dark tinted windows and a diamond pattern on the tires.
